Because the people of the Shang Dynasty were mainly based around their religion, they didn't have much to science to believe in rather than the measurements and calculations for building their architecture. But, they did make a lot of things out of this time, along with forms of palaces, tombs, pottery and ceramics. (China Knowledge) If anything, their scientific thinking was mostly based off of their religious beliefs - such as their buildings, they had the roofing built a certain way because they believed that demons would climb on their roofs and get them, so they made them slanted and difficult to get up.

Besides the things they made, they also invented a few things. The Chinese/Lunar calendar was a big thing from this, as people still use it today. Another thing people use today is the Chinese language, which was basically made and developed during the Shang Dynasty. (China Knowledge) Neat.
